Sangat Island Reserve is an extraordinary resort located
northern part of the Calamian Islands, Palawan.
The Calamian Island group is among the most beautiful
regions in the country and ringing with tiny islands.
Sangat Island Reserve is 2 km off the coast of
Busuanga close to Barangay Bintuan, Coron. The major
islands in the Calamian group are Busuanga, Culion and
Coron.
Sangat Island Reserve is the gateway to the 11
shipwrecks and a huge variety of tropical reef dives
very close to the resort. It is the perfect place to
experience natural environment and underwater. From Sangat Island, you may opt to visit nearby hot springs,
go snorkeling or trekking, birdwatching, boating and
many other things you will surely enjoy

The
natural white beaches of Sangat and surrounding islands,
crystal blue and fresh water lakes of nearby Coron
Island provide a wide variety of exquisite swimming
opportunities for children and adults.
The beachfront setting provides easy access to
snorkeling and boating activities.
Sangat
Island Reserve also has a wide variety of boats
available for use. Our boats are designed and built by
local craftsmen and can be used by the guest for a
variety of activities. Boats, in fact, provide for all
the logistics on the island as Sangat Island, ringing by
steep limestone cliffs, is very difficult to traverse
unless one is traveling by sea.
COTTAGES
The
resort has ten exclusive, individual cottage-style
accommodations, all based on local architectural style
using local materials. All cottages offer exquisite
views over the beach and Bay of Coron. Full decks on the
cottages provide lovely views of the horizon in the day
and the stars at night.
We
have Beachfront Cottages, complete with all amenities
and a chance to be lulled to sleep by the sound of the
sea, and Cliffside Cottages where the guest awakes from
sounds made by the variety of the island's bird life.
All cottages offer full bathroom and shower facilities
and sleeping accommodations for up to three people.
These
cottages normally feature two beds, sofas, all
electrical hookups...

and
full tile Western-style bathrooms including shower
facilities
All of our
cottages feature wooden decks where you can relax in a
hammock while listening to the exquisite songs of
tropical birds in the overhanging palm trees and the
tranquil sound of the waves against the shore..

want the privacy of their own beach with the most exotic
surrounding, Sangat Island Reserve now has available for
rental a beautiful native style villa.
The new
villa is situated on it's own private beach called "Lambingan"
next to Sangat Island Reserve's resort beach. The only
access to Lambingan is by boat or hanging foot bridge
connecting the resort beach and the Villa beach. Guests
staying there are provided with their own kayak. The
Villa is built into the natural limestone formations,
which actually enclose the lower deck except for the
entrance leaving a prime beach view.
The
second floor consists of a spacious double bedroom and
two toilets. This level is walled by native bamboo woven
walls (sawali) and has a bamboo floor. The bedroom has a

out over the sea at one end and the limestone forest at
the other end. The view is exceptional and is the most
amazing place to wake up to in the morning. This
spacious master bedroom covers the entire top floor and

where one can relax while admiring the fantastic view of
the beach and surrounding rock formations.
